Which areas do you
serve?
Spectra Sound Systems
serves the greater Western New York area (roughly a 60-mile radius from
downtown Buffalo) without any additional charges. For events outside
this area we are available for a travel fee.
How much do you
charge?
Since
all events are different, it is hard for us to give you a concrete
price. Our average price range is from $350 to $750. Please contact us
for an exact price quote.
Who will be the DJ at my event?
I will be the DJ at your event.
Spectra Sound Systems
does not outsource events to other DJ's so you are
guaranteed to have the DJ you spoke with during your consultation.
Do you have backup DJs?
We do not have backup DJs. I am the owner and only DJ. In
the rare event of an emergency we will find a qualified DJ to host your
event. In such a case you will receive a 100%
refund of your deposit or payment. Guaranteed!
When do you setup?
We set up early enough to deal with any unforeseen circumstances and to
make sure everything is in place before your guests arrive. We will
contact your venue to arrange everything. Setup and break-down costs are
always included in all our packages.
Do you dress nicely? What do you wear?
What I wear is stylish & similar to what your guests would wear. I will be attired in
a tuxedo for your formal event or a suit and tie for a less formal
event. I do not wear costumes or wear tacky or tasteless attire.
What type of equipment do you use?
We provide a complete package of professional audio and lighting
equipment. We also offer different packages designed to meet your needs
and specifications. We have a complete list of the equipment we use on a
separate page. In short, we use Dell
laptop computers, Crown
amplifiers, Cerwin-Vega
speakers, Shure
microphones, Behringer
mixing consoles,
Pioneer
CD players, and Tremor
lighting products.
Do you provide party props, play games or teach dances?
We do not use party props, we do not play games, and we do not teach
participation dances. We consider these a pushy way to engage your
guests so unfortunately we cannot include them in our offerings. We will
however coordinate with you, any special dedications or announcements
that need to be delivered. We have also been known to assist on some
good humored “pranks” during the event as well!
